The Ambassadors’ Club of Israel was proud to host, along with the Federation of Local Authorities and Mr. Dov Litvinoff, Mayor of the Tamar Regional Council a unique and enriching tour of the Dead Sea today with Ambassadors from Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
We began the day with presentations by Mr. Dov Litvinoff, Mayor of the Tamar Regional Council; Lizy Delariche, Mayor of Ganey Tikva and Chairman of the International Affairs in FLAI; Amb. Yitzhak Eldan, Ambassadors’ Club of Israel President. A panel of four women experts on the Middle East was moderated by Ruth Wasserman-Lande. Dr. Michal Yaari- a specialist in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Anat Kurz- a specialist on Israel/Palestine, and Gallia Lindenstrauss- a specialist on Turkey. We enjoyed the resources of the region by floating in the Dead Sea water. We viewed the sinkhole phenomena devastating the northern section of the Israel side of the Dead Sea. We completed the day with a tour of the Dead Sea Research Institute founded with Tel Aviv University.
